Affiliate Disclosure
Plain terms: how Gyuto Club makes money, and why it never changes which knife we tell you to buy.
Gyuto Club is free to read, and it is funded by affiliate commissions. We want that to be obvious rather than buried, so here it is in plain language.
As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links — you’ll often see them as /golinks that redirect to a retailer. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission. That commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, so it costs you nothing extra: you pay the same price you would have paid without us.
Amazon is our default retailer
Most of our buy links point to Amazon, and this site participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program — an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a way for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. Being an Amazon affiliate never changes which knife or stone we recommend. We may also use other affiliate networks for particular products, on the same terms.
It doesn’t change our picks
The commission on a product is never a reason to recommend it. We only recommend what our method supports, our rankings are buyer-first, and if a cheaper or lower-paying knife is the better buy, that’s the one we’ll tell you to get. We’ll also tell you when to skip a product entirely — a recommendation you can’t say no to isn’t worth anything. This is the same commitment we make in our editorial policy.
About prices
Prices come from the retailer, and they change — sometimes several times a day. We show a live, dated price where we can verify one, and when we can’t, we show a “Check price” link instead of a number we’re unsure about. Always confirm the current price on the retailer’s own page before you buy; that figure, not ours, is the one you’ll pay.
No paid coverage
We do not accept payment for reviews, rankings, or placement of any kind. Brands cannot buy their way onto a list or up an order. The only way Gyuto Club earns is the affiliate commission described above — there is no hidden second stream.
